ENVIRONMENT
Fuentes Fertilizantes, as a Group of Enterprises with a long experience in the fertilizers sector, adapted to the present and always projecting in the future, has acquired little by little a profound conscience about environment that it materialise across concrete actions which can be classified into three fundamental guidelines sustaining its Environmental Politics:
|
1. The respect and protection to the environment where it carries out the activity.
-
By avoiding processes that entail gaseous contaminant emissions.
-
By establishing some closed systems for residual waters to be reusable (zero dumping system).
-
By providing to the members of the organisation the necessary training, equipments, tools, a good work ambience and safe and healthy production system.
-
By maintaining our installations and processes in keeping with the existing Legal Code, and collaborating with the different local, autonomic and national administrations in environmental matters.
-
By trying to reduce water and energy consumption and contribute in that way to the local communities.
2. The constant attention to the establishment of preventive actions on environmental matters.
-
By evaluating the possible implications about the context and environment of all our Processes.
-
By investing in cleaner and safer new technologies which let us ameliorate the efficacy of the production and to encourage energetic saving.
-
By taking care of keeping an actualised knowledge of adequate techniques for carrying out that kind of actions.
3. The promotion of agronomical practices directed towards a safe and optimised use of fertilizers.
-
By advising the farmers in anything concerning the transport, storage, handling of products that we provide them in order to guarantee that those operations be carried out successfully, in a respectful and safe way for the environment.
-
By promoting the custom-made fertilization, which is sustained in adapting to the full the fertilization to the real necessities of the farming, in order to avoid the unnecessary addition of nutrients whose lixiviation can trigger eutrophication problems in superficial water as long as contamination of underground water.
-
By paying attention to the content of non-desirable elements in the fertilizers, across an exhaustive control of raw materials based on the rejection of those ones which, because of its nature, are fraught with that kind of serious risks. |
